Mapping official KKK positions to the GOP
The Kloran, the Klan’s rite book, details the title, roles and responsibilities of KKK leadership ranks:
Imperial Wizard: The Klan’s national leader
Position currently held by: Donald J. Trump
Grand Dragon: State-level leader of a “Realm” (the Klan term for a state) Oversees all local chapters (klaverns) within his state, reporting to the Imperial Wizard.
Position currently held by: Texas Governor Greg Abbott
Grand Titan: Provincial leader of a section of a state (often aligned with a congressional district) under a Titan. Reports to the Grand Dragon.
Position currently held by: Ted Cruz (R-Texas)
Grand Giant: Messaging guidance to all local dens. The title “Giant” conveys a large, protective role.
Position currently held by: Karoline Leavitt / Sean Hannity /Greg Gutfeld
Exalted Cyclops: Departmental leader of a special “klavern” or “den.” Runs meetings, manages membership rolls, and enforces local rules.
Position currently held by: Kristi Noem
Imperial Representative: An organizer appointed by the Imperial Wizard to set up a new “Realm” when expanding. Sometimes called an “Acting Grand Dragon” to recruit members, charter local klaverns, and establish provisional leadership until a Grand Dragon could be elected for the new Realm.
Position currently held by: Stephen Miller
Kleagle: Recruitment officer. Kleagles are responsible for enrolling new members and organizing klaverns. Kleagles earn commissions on membership dues. This title highlights the quasi-fraternal, ritualized nature of Klan recruitment.
